FAIRBORN, Ohio – Wright-Patt Credit Union has teamed up with Consumer Credit Counseling of the Miami Valley (CCCS) to help locals here get a handle on financial education. Terrie Krumal has joined the Wright-Patt CU team as a certified counselor and will provide services ranging from one-on-one credit counseling and housing counseling sessions to reviewing credit bureau reports with clients. “We have long been proponents of CCCS. They have helped many individuals avoid the worries of debt and the long-term damage that bankruptcy can cause,” said Wright-Patt Vice President/Chief Business Development Officer Gary Easterling. “We are pleased to be able to add this additional financial education tool to the menu of value-based services we offer to our member-owners.” According to Easterling, with bankruptcy law changing with the passage of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 the credit union's continuing focus on financial education, along with convenient and accessible credit counseling, will go a long way to helping credit union members successfully navigate the financial peaks and valleys in their life.
