NEW ORLEANS – The $18 million UNO FCU here says it was hit by a phishing scam on May 18. A fraudulent e-mail requests that members visit a link which brings them to a very realistic copy of UNO FCU's Web site. The members are then asked to update their personal records. The CU is warning its members via a message on its Web site, reminding members the CU does not solicit members via e-mail The credit union industry has seen a number of phishing attacks this year, including ones against CUNA, CUNA Mutual and CU Service Centers.
