FRISCO, Texas – Fiserv has been good for IntegraSys any way you cut it, says IntegraSys President Scott Butler. Butler says EDS' lack of commitment and investment when IntegraSys was still part of the mammoth IT firm, was starting to wear thin on IntegraSys' credit union clients. But things have changed and Bulter reports that during its first full year as a subsidiary of Fiserv it has signed 53 new CU clients and renewal agreements with over 100 CU clients. Despite the success, Butler said credit union leaders have "long memories" and they won't soon forget the last lean years with EDS, so IntegraSys has to keep moving forward. IntegraSys has revamped its product line. CubicsPlus, mainly for CUs $75 million and under, is now a .NET based system. The new version has been rolled out to more than 40 customers with another 100 set for implementation throughout '05. IntegraSys' Premier core system has been re-energized, said Butler, with a new advanced teller automation and members services platforms integrated with cross-sell and sales tracking. It added new database capabilities to its Wisdom Financial Management suite to give CUs scalability efficiencies over a wide-area network. Wisdom-like products aren't found at a lot of processors. It includes ALM, accounting and investment portfolio management solutions. They are designed to make reporting and compliance in these areas easer. More than 450 CUs currently use Wisdom. That leads to another point about IntegraSys – it is having success penetrating CUs with add-on products. Today it touches about 1,500 CUs, with about 900 of those being core clients. "Our goal as a technology provider is to define and deliver solutions that solve our client's business issues – from effectively managing risk, to enhancing member service, to improving overall operating efficiency," said Sara Brooks, IntegraSys' SVP for Strategy, Marketing and Offerings Development. Collins CU, as an example of a multi-product user, is on the Premier system but also uses IntegraSys' debit card processing, electronic statement, home banking and bill pay services. "IntegraSys offers the stability of an established 30-year-old company combined with the fresh, innovative spirit of a startup organization," said Rick Benhart, CEO of Collins CU. IntegraSys is also now playing in the business services space with `04′s introduction of Virtual Branch Business Center – a suite of Web-based products for CUs to serve their business clients. They include payroll processing and accounts receivable solutions. IntegraSys embraced partnerships in '04. It also inked a deal with Penley, a subsidiary of eFunds, to resell its identity verification tool, ConfirmIT. It's designed to reduce identity theft at the time of account opening, where much of the theft occurs. 2004 was also where IntegraSys grew up so to speak. As part of EDS, it relied on EDS' infrastructure and administrative support for everything from payroll to facilities. Now IntegraSys is in its own new headquarters in Frisco, Texas and has staffed up by 18% to bring administrative duties in-house. "In some ways it was like starting a new company, We were decentralized. We had to develop in-house," said Butler. As for philosophy, Butler wants IntegraSys' systems to be open enough for credit unions to add on best of breed products, while also increasing its own product line. "We want to be open because no one can do it all, but not too open," he said. [email protected]
