South Jersey Federal Credit Union, Deptford, N.J., has raised $2,000 in support of the American Red Cross' tsunami relief efforts. SJFCU supports numerous altruistic organizations throughout South Jersey including the National MS Society, The ARC of Gloucester and Cape May Counties, The Camden Children's Garden and The Children's Miracle Network. First Community Credit Union, St. Louis, has presented a check for $1, 700 to the American Red Cross' Tsunami Relief Fund. Out of 243 employees, 81% donated money from their paychecks to help those who were affected by the December 26 tsunami disaster. Funds raised will go towards clothing, food, housing and medical assistance for the survivors. Pacific Service Credit Union, Walnut Creek, Calif., has sponsored the American Red Cross CPR Preparedness Saturday events in the Bay Area for the fourth consecutive year. The partnership with Pacific Service CU allows lifesaving classes to be offered in English, Spanish and Cantonese at no cost to some 2,000 participants.
