MADISON, Wis. – While diamonds may be forever, next year's CUNA Marketing and Business Development Diamond Awards categories are changing with the addition of two new entries – Member Magazines and Diamond in the Rough. The "Member Magazine" category was added to spotlight four-or-more color magazines distributed to credit union members or potential members while "Diamond in the Rough" showcases a credit union that delivers a mix of creativity and bottom-line results on a limited budget. The remaining categories, ranging from annual reports and direct mail to television to Web site marketing, will be evaluated based on strategy, design and production, creative concept, copy and communication, and results. Marketers can enter in multiple categories. Judging will take place Jan. 20-22, with all winners being notified via e-mail no later than February 1. Awards will be presented at the 2005 CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Conference March 16-19, in Palm Springs, California. Award entries must be received by Jan. 7, 2005. In addition, all entries postmarked by Dec. 17, 2004 will receive the "early bird discount" and avoid paying additional entrance fees. For anyone entering the Web site marketing category, all entries must be received no later than Dec. 17.
