LAS VEGAS - Approximately 400 registrants are expected to turn out for NACUSO's 2004 Annual Conference, May 2-4 at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nev. The three-day conference starts off with a pre-conference meeting hosted by NACUSO General Counsel Guy Messick of the Credit Union Caf, which gives credit union and CUSO staff and directors to network and exchange "candid" information on their respective services and experience. Among the list of speakers expected to address conferees during the event are CUNA Mutual Group's John Henry and Daniel Worblewski of MEMBERS Trust Company; Ted Johnson of Life Insurance Market Research Association (LIMRA); Gary Raddon of Raddon Financial Group; Ray Wright and David Lesko of United Datatronics; and Roger Dow of Marriott International. In addition, representatives from various CUSOs will lead breakout sessions, approximately four of which are tied to business lending. NACUSO President Bob Dorsa said part of the challenge of organizing the conference "and what makes it so unique" is the diversity of subjects and markets that are covered in the various breakout sessions. "Every session is almost a whole little conference in itself," he said. "CUSOs and credit unions are involved in all of these businesses, not just one discipline. These are the topics that are going to shape the future of credit unions."
