Homesteaders Federal Credit Union, Manhattan, has celebrated the grand opening of its new Central Harlem branch. Prior to moving to the branch in Harlem, HFCU operated out of an office in Lower Manhattan and served 1,700 members living in 200 co-op buildings in the surrounding area.

Marion & Polk Schools Credit Union, Salem, Ore., has announced plans to open a new branch in Monmouth. The full-service branch was the site for a grand opening ceremony.

Michigan First Credit Union, Detroit, has signed a lease on a 2,153-square-foot-site in the New Center One Building here. The site is located on the second floor across from the skywalk leading from the Fisher Building. Plans for the area include a small, full-service branch and an Electronic Banking Center, which will include full-service ATMs, access to the Michigan First Web site and Home Banking program, coin depositories, and more. The branch's anticipated opening date is September 2003.
