The certification, awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute represents extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management. Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union, Daleville, Ala., has been honored by Fort Ruckers for its outstanding support of the Battalion's Family Readiness Group. The group was created as a support network and provides assistance to soldiers and their families. United Teletech Federal Credit Union, Tinton Falls, N.J., has received four awards for excellence in member education and communication. During a state recognition meeting the $265 million credit union was presented the Alexander S. Kosobucki Promotion Award for its home equity campaign; Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award for the staff's volunteer efforts; Louise Herring Award for Philosophy in Action for its financial literacy/member education programs; and the Catherine L. Miller Award for inspired communication and original ideas in newsletters. People's Alliance Federal Credit Union, Hauppauge, N.Y., Vice President of Operations Frank Kobel, has been selected as a member of the 2003 class of the 40 Under 40 program by the Long Island Business News. The tribute recognizes Long Island's best and brightest rising stars. Kobel was singled out for his leadership skills and dedication to the credit union and the community. Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, Brainerd, recently retired President/CEO Ray Burnett has been honored by Liberty Enterprises with a patriotic framed print. Liberty Graphic Productions produced the print. In addition, Liberty donated $5,000 to the National Credit Union Foundation in Burnett's name. Burnett was instrumental in Liberty's involvement in the Foundation, which began in 1998. Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union, Palo Alto, Calif., investment subsidiary Addison Avenue Financial Partners representatives have been recognized among the best in the country by Bank Investment Marketing. The publication evaluated candidates based on their business's assets under management, production and client base. AAFP representative Bill Thompson ranked first on the BMI list; Phil Nguyen ranked fourth and Bill Heiser claimed the fourteenth spot on BMI's national ranking.
