VIENNA, Va.-Navy Federal Credit Union President and CEO of Brian McDonnell was named to the Navy Supply School's Hall of Fame. He also received a Navy Supply School diploma at the Dec. 12 ceremony held at the school in Athens, Ga. -more than 30 years after leaving the school. McDonnell spent four years, before serving more than 30 years at Navy Federal, as a supply officer on active duty in the Navy aboard the USS DAVIS and at Naval Command System Support Activity in the Washington Navy Yard. McDonnell remained in the reserves for more than 20 years, retiring as a captain. "It was a great pleasure to receive this honor from the Navy Supply School," McDonnell commented, "and I really was surprised to receive my diploma. I've got a special place reserved for it on my office wall." The Navy Supply Corps Foundation recognizes former supply officers who have distinguished themselves both in active duty and private and public careers. Of 89,000 graduates, McDonnell was the 25th inducted into the foundation's Hall of Fame. Alumni include the likes of former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Roger Staubach, television personality Regis Philbin, and hotel mogul J.W. Marriott. The Navy Supply Corps School's mission is basic and advanced training in supply, transportation, maintenance, and other logistics services for Department of Defense and international personnel.
