NEW YORK – Peter Duffy, a well-known investment professional with First Empire Securities, is leaving the company to join Keefe, Bruyett, and Woods, an investment banking/research firm based in New York. "It was a very hard decision. I had a lot of momentum at First Empire, but it got to be where KBW had more to help credit unions accomplish all goals, not just investments," said Duffy. Duffy said KBW is looking to get deeper into the CU industry and he will be the point man in working with CUs. Duffy stressed that the work won't just be investments, but also risk management, loan portfolios and even charter conversions.
