NCUA has released guidelines for credit unions seeking to access funds through the agency's Community Development Revolving Loan Fund's Technical Assistance Grant program.

Marking the five-year anniversary of when the Small Business Administration first expanded its loan programs to credit unions regardless of their charter, CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica and SBA Administrator Steve Preston recently met to discuss strides made and where improvements might be made.

House Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee Chairwoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.) introduced the Credit Cardholders' Bill of Rights Act of 2008 (H.R. 5244), on Feb. 7, 2008.

Under President Bush's proposal, the Small Business Administration's 7(a) guaranteed loan program would receive $17.5 billion and the 504 or Certified Development Company program would get a $7.5 billion boost.
