The $700 million US Federal Credit Union has rolled out a rewards program giving cash back on debit transactions. The program automatically deposits 0.25% of a card member's debit card spending back into their checking accounts at the end of each quarter.

Could cardholders ever get wealthy enough that they would no longer need a rewards program to prompt card usage? Apparently they don't, according to American Express.

Bank of America and Aetna are joining forces to bring out a credit card that will reward cardholders for their medical and health-related purchases. Only Aetna insurance members will be able to get the card at first.
