Fiserv Inc.'s second annual credit union client conference drew about 1,700 attendees to Las Vegas for three days of classes, product and service showcases and speeches, the company said.

LAS VEGAS -- One of the nation's leading real estate executives offered credit union mortgage executives a robust defense of the home buyers tax credit that had been in place earlier this year.

American Share Insurance announced a 15 basis point special premium assessment on the credit unions that use the private firm to insure their deposits. The firm said it insures member deposits up to $250,000 at 150 state-chartered credit unions.
