WASHINGTON - NCUA Board Member Gigi Hyland said today that ideally the relationship between her agency and credit unions should be characterized by "constructive conflict," that will help the movement thrive in the years ahead.

WASHINGTON -- The top Treasury Department official on credit unions said today that the proposed agency to regulate consumer financial products will give credit unions a more stable regulatory environment in which to operate.

Members of credit unions that participate in a shared branching network now have access to more than 4,000 shared branches around the nation and more than 2,000 shared branching kiosk locations.
