New logo and name for The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates

The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates is the new name of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates and the Virginia Credit Union League, whose members voted to merge with the Tallahassee, Fla.-based trade association in November.

The legal consolidation was consummated on Jan. 1.

According to the The League, it now represents 386 credit unions across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Virginia that manage more than $450 billion in assets and serve 31.5 million members.

“This is a monumental step forward for credit unions across Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Virginia, and we are humbled by the opportunity to champion their success and interests under this new identity,” The League President Samantha Beeler said in a prepared statement. “By uniting as The League, we are strengthening our collective voice and creating more opportunities for collaboration and advocacy impact. Together, we’ll champion innovation, advocate fiercely and position credit unions for greater community impact.”

The League unveiled its new emblem, a shield and its four marks, which represents the four states and the organization’s unwavering dedication to member credit unions and their communities.

“Under this new name, we are combining the best of our expertise and resources to deliver unmatched solutions and advocacy for credit unions,” Affiliates Consolidated Services and LEVERAGE President Steve Willis said in a prepared statement. “This partnership signifies our commitment to supporting the credit union movement through innovative solutions, shared knowledge and an unrelenting focus on member success.”
