Launched in 2012, the Money 20/20 conference has brought together tens of thousands of fintech, payments and financial services leaders over the years and currently hosts four annual flagship events in vibrant locations: Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Bangkok and Riyadh.
While Money 20/20's content has always been valuable for credit union leaders, this year's Las Vegas event featured a first-ever track of sessions designed especially for credit unions in partnership with Filene Research Institute and the World Council of Credit Unions, demonstrating the organization's growing focus on the movement.
In this episode of Shared Accounts With CU Times, we welcome Amanda Estiverne, Vice President, Global Strategic Partnerships for Money 20/20, for a conversation about why the organization chose to spotlight credit unions now and the topics chosen for the special track of sessions, which included fraud, growth opportunities among older members, the Clarity Act, cryptocurrency and AI. She also discusses the challenges of achieving financial inclusion goals and the key takeaways from a recent report released by Filene and Money 20/20, "The New Money Movement Landscape."
We had a sidebar discussion with Estiverne on the awesomeness of working in a record store in the 90s, and with the holiday season soon to be upon us, we had to ask what's on her Thanksgiving menu.
Don't snooze on this episode – press play and learn why Money 20/20 should be on every credit union leader's radar.
