Hanscom Federal Credit Union ($1.8 billion, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.) promoted Stacey Browne to chief of staff, office of the president. Browne joined Hanscom FCU in 2022 and most recently served as SVP, office of the president. In her new role, Browne assumes responsibility for spearheading a comprehensive strategy aimed at fostering proactive planning and seamless execution across key areas of the organization. This includes strategic initiatives led by the president/CEO, collaboration with the Hanscom FCU Board of Directors, enhancing the impact of the Hanscom FCU Charitable Foundation and refining strategic marketing efforts. Prior to joining Hanscom FCU, Browne held roles including manager of business development at Draper & Kramer Mortgage Corp. and vice president positions at Berkshire Bank.

The $7.3 billion, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based Hudson Valley Credit Union announced three new hires.

John Guy was hired as SVP, executive advisor to community and business banking. In his new role, he will partner with the credit union's lending and product teams to seek new opportunities for portfolio growth, product development and marketing campaigns to drive business. Guy previously served at Webster Bank as EVP, director business banking.

Robert (Bob) Kelly was hired as vice president/director of banking administration. In his new role, he is responsible for optimizing productivity and the development of all sales goals to achieve strategic objectives for the credit union's various business lines. He previously served as managing director of distribution, performance measures and colleague banking at Webster Bank.

Thomas (Tom) Varian was hired as vice president, commercial market president. Varian brings more than 25 years of experience, having most recently served as CFO and SVP/sales leader for Brosnan Risk Consultants. In his new role, he is responsible for driving business growth through membership expansion, lending and other strategic sales plans.

The $2.9 billion, Virginia Beach, Va.-based Chartway Federal Credit Union announced two promotions.

Henry Thompson was promoted to SVP of technology. Thompson, who joined the Chartway team in 2018, served as the director of IT and was later promoted to vice president of IT in 2022. In his new position, he will play a more strategic role in shaping Chartway's technological future. Thompson holds CISSP and ITIL certifications, an executive development certificate from Old Dominion University and a Credit Union Development Educator designation from the National Credit Union Foundation.

Whitney Huston was promoted to vice president of marketing. Huston, who has been with Chartway since 2017, initially served as the director of member experience before transitioning to the role of director of marketing in 2019. In her new role, she will continue strengthening Chartway's brand and reinforcing its mission, values and impact on members and communities. Huston holds a master's degree in lifespan and digital communication from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va.

The Illinois Credit Union League hired Elizabeth Sullivan to its government affairs team as senior compliance counsel. Sullivan brings 15 years of experience in litigation, advocacy and compliance, having most recently held various positions at America's Credit Unions (formerly CUNA and NAFCU). Sullivan holds a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Fla.

The Phoenix, Ariz.-based executive recruitment, strategic organization and board development firm DDJ Myers, an ALM First Company, hired Josie Collins as director of business development. Collins brings over 20 years of experience in the credit union industry, having most recently served as senior associate director of education for America's Credit Unions. She previously held positions at NAFCU (now America's Credit Unions), the National Credit Union Foundation and CUES. She holds a Credit Union Development Educator and Development Educator European Union designation.
