Consumers Credit Union of Kalamazoo, Mich., expanded its footprint further east by opening two branches in the Lansing area.

Lansing, the state’s capital and home of Michigan State University, takes in part of three counties. The credit union announced Tuesday that it has opened its Cedar branch in Ingham County and its Delta branch in Eaton County.

Scott Sylvester, who was promoted to Consumers’ president/CEO last year, said expanding to Lansing has been a key part of the strategy for the credit union, which ended 2022 with $2 billion in assets and 132,391 members.
