The Fourth of July is this weekend. And while the Declaration ofIndependence declares that “all men are created equal,” thatsentiment doesn't apply to all Independence Day celebrations.

WalletHub compared the 100 largest U.S.cities based on the balance of holiday cost and fun. The researchcompany used 16 metrics, including the duration of fireworks shows,average gas prices, weather forecasts and more. The 16 metrics werecategorized into three key dimensions: Entertainment and food,attractions and activities, and weather forecast for July 4th.

The metrics were graded on a 0-to-100-point scale, with 100representing the most favorable conditions for Independence Dayrevelry. WalletHub then calculated an overall score for each cityusing the weighted average across all metrics and ranked the citiesaccordingly.
