Through Firefighters First Credit Union's Fire Family Foundation, $175,000 helped firefighters and fire families in need in 2015.
The Fire Family Foundation is a nonprofit founded by the credit union based on the belief that coming together as a "Fire Family" can help make a difference in the lives of firefighters and their families, fire victims, fire departments and charities.
According to the Foundation, 2016 has gotten off to a good start as $72,000 has already been committed to support those still recovering from the tragedies and devastation of last year.
