EAST

The $5.9 billion Bethpage Federal Credit Union appointed Linda Ward as vice president of digital strategy. She joined the Bethpage, N.Y.-based cooperative following a 16-year career at Citibank, where she held an array of positions in all aspects of digital usability.

The $1 billion APG Federal Credit Union in Edgewood, Md., hired Kristin Doehring as its marketing communications director. With more than 20 years of experience, she held marketing management positions with Domino's Pizza Inc. and Dunkin' Donuts Inc.

Ed Perry joined the $626 million Leominster Credit Union in Leominster, Mass., as an assistant vice president/branch manager. He holds 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, previously working in staff development, loan origination and online banking.

Nancy Kasprzak-Whitmore, former president/CEO of the merged Niagara County Federal Credit Union and current executive vice president of the $145 million Niagara's Choice Federal Credit Union in Niagara Falls, N.Y., was inducted into the New York Credit Union Hall of Fame by the New York Credit Union Association in June. She was named president/CEO of Niagara County FCU in 1984 and led the cooperative through three decades of growth before it merged with Niagara's Choice FCU.

MIDWEST

The $2.7 billion Veridian Credit Union in Waterloo, Iowa announced that Keith Mesch was promoted to chief financial officer. He joined the credit union 13 years ago and most recently served as vice president of financial operations. Veridian CU also promoted Rebecca Smith to commercial loan review specialist. She joined the credit union 11 years ago and most recently worked as a commercial loan assistant.

Ben Dexter was promoted to branch manager at the $1.5 billion Indiana Members Credit Union in Indianapolis. He joined the cooperative in 2008, previously serving as a pool teller and account service representative.

Pat Meyer, a branch manager for the $284 million Heritage Credit Union in Madison, Wis. received the Hometown Hero Medal of Honor for her unwavering commitment for helping members of the military. During the medal presentation in June, Meyer and Heritage CU also were recognized for providing financial wellness support to airmen and airwomen.

SOUTH

Shana Meadows was promoted to vice president of risk management at the $706 million Member One Federal Credit Union. She joined the cooperative in 2003 and previously worked as a senior account representative; branch manager; vice president of card services, member service and product development; and as a member contact center manager. The Roanoke, Va.-based credit union also announced the appointment of Matt Huff as an associate board member. He is executive vice president and chief operating officer for Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group in Roanoke.

Greg McClellan, president/CEO of the $1.1 billion MAX Credit Union in Montgomery, Ala., was selected as NAFCU's CEO of the Year for credit unions with more than $250 million in assets. The award recognizes McClellan's leadership during his 30 years at MAX CU by nearly doubling its assets and growing the membership and loan deposits.

Harold Sawyer, a 49-year board member of the $2 billion Robins Federal Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga., was honored with the Moses C. Davis Volunteer of the Year Award from the Georgia Credit Union League. The award recognizes a board member's contributions to the credit union, involvement with the credit union movement and unselfish devotion to duties as a volunteer. He will be retiring from his board seat this year.

WEST

The $933 million Xceed Financial Credit Union in El Segundo, Calif. promoted its Chief Operating Officer Ray Shams to executive vice president and chief operating officer, and its Vice President of Lending Bertha Gascon to senior vice president of lending. She was also named as a member of the executive management team.

The $4.1 billion Ent Federal Credit Union in Colorado Springs hired Luke Northam as a senior insurance consultant.
