The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Sally Beauty Holdings have both acknowledged an exposure of customer payment information.

The hotel announced that hackers accessed customer names, credit card numbers, expiration dates and CVV codes for credit and debit card transactions conducted between Sep. 3, 2014 and April 2, 2015 at restaurant, bar and retail locations on the Hard Rock Hotel's Las Vegas, Nev. property.

"We immediately responded upon learning of a potential security issue, engaging outside information security experts to investigate and implementing additional security measures," the hotel said in a statement. "At the same time, we alerted law enforcement authorities of the criminal attack. The attack was contained on April 2, 2015."
