BrightStar Credit Union has proved members benefit when they refinance or get an auto loan.
From November 1, 2014 through Feb. 28, 2014, members who financed or refinanced an existing automobile loan from another lender with the $429 million credit union based in Sunrise, Fla., were entered in the BrightStar Oh Snap sweepstakes for a chance to have up to a year's worth of free auto loan payments.
Marielle Duverge-Hilmers of Plantation, and her Chevrolet were the lucky winners. The guidance counselor at Coral Springs Middle School, was selected randomly from a pool of qualifying members.

"I'm very excited. It couldn't have come at a better time and I really appreciate this," said Duverge-Hilmers, who is married with two young children.
