Credit unions seeking grants from the NCUA may attend a webinarhosted by staff from the Office of Small Credit UnionInitiatives.

To help credit unions prepare for its approaching next round ofgrants, the agency will present “NCUA 2015 Grant and LoanOpportunities” on April 15 at 2 p.m. EST.

Dominic Carullo, an economic development specialist withthe NCUA's Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives, and GeethaValiyil, the comptroller at the Office of Small Credit UnionInitiatives, will participate in the webinar. David Fitzgerald,national account director at the Illinois Credit Union League willalso take part in the webinar.

The NCUA said the officials will discuss the grant applicationprocess and the four grant initiatives funded by the agencyincluding cybersecurity, building capacity branching, digitalgrowth, and new products and services. A 30-minutequestion-and-answer session will follow the one-hour webinarpresentation.

The webinar with also feature Lynn Gray, CEO of the $42 millionRemington Federal Credit Union in Ilion, N.Y., and Lowell Stevens,CEO of the $76 million Latah Federal Credit Union in Moscow, Id.The credit union executives plan to share their experiencesintroducing mobile banking applications and remote deposit captureservices to their members using grant funds.
