Mary Hughes, the Financial Institutions Bureau Chief of the Idaho Department of Finance, was appointed as a new member of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council's State Liaison Committee Monday.

Thomas Candon, deputy commissioner of Banking and Securities at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, left the SLC Dec. 31, according to the agency.

NASCUS confirmed that Hughes would finish Candon's term, which ends March 31, 2015.
