Thirty-year banking veteran Jeff Rose was appointed the new president/CEO of the $508 million Community 1st Credit Union in Ottumwa, Iowa.
The cooperative's board of directors made the CEO appointment Monday, according to a prepared statement.
Rose, who most recently was president/CEO of Southeast National Bank in Quad Cities, for nearly four years, will begin his new duties immediately. Prior to his position at the Moline, Ill. bank, Rose was president/CEO at First Bank in West Des Moines, Iowa.
“With his extensive knowledge of finances and leadership abilities, he is an excellent choice to lead our credit union in the exciting years ahead,” Jason Eubanks, Community 1st CU board chair, said.
Rose is an Iowa native who graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines and the University of Iowa with a degree in finance.
He earned an MBA at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Ten years at Wells Fargo Bank took him to executive management positions in Dallas, Los Angeles and Houston before returning to Iowa in 2002 at US Bank in Des Moines.
“I'm excited with the opportunity to lead Community 1st Credit Union and its more than 190 dedicated employees,” Rose said. “There's a strong pride here that complements an impressive, 78-year history. I look forward to continued growth and providing our members the highest level of service possible.”
