Point-of-sale network CU24 and Allpoint, a national ATM network, have extended an agreement to continue offering access to the more than 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs through CU24.

Participating credit unions can continue to provide their members with access to their funds at surcharge-free ATMs across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom, the companies said in a press release.

The new agreement also offers new services to credit union participants such as locator search, fee alert notifications and ATM branding.

"We believe in working with companies to provide credit unions with services that will help them compete and improve their members' lives. Allpoint is one such company," Mansel Guerry, president/CEO of CU24, said.

The Tallahassee, Fla.-based CU24 said it operates the largest credit union owned ATM and POS network in the U.S.

"In today's economy, people need more access to their funds without having to pay a fee and CU24 is proud to be able to provide them with that access," Guerry said.

Allpoint has a fleet of surcharge-free ATMs located in retail, convenience and grocery stores, the company said.

"Continuing our agreement with CU24 helps millions of cardholders save time and money when accessing their funds," Bill Knoll, president of the Bethesda, Md.-based Allpoint, said.
