Former teller Tamra Vance Robinson, 41, was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison Tuesday for embezzling $420,000 from the $1.3 billion Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union in Tennessee.
She admitted to making hundreds of false entries in the credit union's transaction records to steal cash from the vault, the ATM, as well as the drive-thru teller drawer and a counter teller drawer from April 2008, when she was hired, to September 2011, according to court documents.
U.S. District Court Judge J. Ronnie Greer ordered Robinson to repay the money she stole. She also was sentenced to three years of supervised release following her prison term.
Robinson pleaded guilty in March to embezzlement.
