CUAD Billboards Support Tax Exemption

Dakota league campaign counters efforts by the state's bankers association to gain municipal resolutions to eliminate exemption.

This billboard from the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas will be on display through Feb. 23.

The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas in Pierre, S.D., launched a state-wide billboard campaign in support of the credit union tax exemption. The campaign counters advocacy initiatives by the South Dakota Bankers Association, which has been requesting local governing bodies approve resolutions to support a federal tax on credit unions.

So far, SDBA’s efforts have not been successful, according to CUAD.
