The $397 million Educational Community Credit Union in Kalamazoo, Mich., has launched a responsive website, using technology that allows the site to adjust itself to the device being used to access it.
The 36,500-member Michigan credit union is the seventh credit union to go live with a responsive site through Banno in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the company said, and six more are in the implementation process.
ECCU's new site replaces a website that was more than 10 years old and could not handle video or social media feeds or leverage analytics, the credit union and company said.
The new site is now seeing a more-even spread of use among desktop, smartphone and tablet users and the Facebook traffic has increased sharply, the credit union said.
“Our new responsive design site and its associated capabilities have provided the evidence we suspected, that our members were hungry for mobile options. As a result, ECCU is confident in our direction of making strategic plans to further substantiate our mobile presence,” Judi Burton, research and development analyst at ECCU, said in the Banno announcement.
