The NCUA and its staff have been feted for their efforts in gathering and donating more than 22,000 pounds of food in the latest effort by federal employees in the D.C. area.

The agency received the “Fired Up Award” from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for being the agency with the largest increase in donations from 2012, the NCUA said Wednesday.
