America First Credit Union this week introduced a customizable credit card concept called Picture Perfect Visa, which allows members to personalize the photo on debit/credit cards and to share the pic on social media.

The $5.9 billion institution in Riverdale, Utah, now invites invites its 618,000 members to log in to online banking accounts and upload a digital photo taken with a smart phone.

Members also can share their customized images on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, the credit union said.

In order to offer the social media sharing aspect of the customized Picture Perfect Visa cards, the credit union partnered with London-based technology vendor and digital card designer Severside Group, the credit union said.

“We're very excited that we can now offer our members the ability to create their own distinctive Visa credit and debit cards, and then share what they've created with their friends through a variety of social media platforms,” said John B. Lund, president and CEO of America First. “It's just plain cool.”

Existing America First Visa cardholders can log onto their online banking account and start customizing. Those who don't have a Visa card can call a toll-free number to apply.
