Credit unions serving the nation's armed forces came underpraise Tuesday from NCUA Board MemberMichael Fryzel.

“The men and women of the armed forces join your credit unionsbecause they understand value. You must keep up this good work formilitary members and their families,” he told the Defense CreditUnion Council at the group's 50th annual conference Tuesday in WhiteSulphur Springs, W.Va.

Fryzel reviewed the economic events buffering the industry thepast five years, and offered encouragement to the more than 400credit union professionals gathered at the conference.
