Two congressmen with records of backing bills that would benefit credit unions have been added to the speaker lineup for the Congressional Caucus planned by NAFCU next month at the Mayflower Renaissance in Washington, D.C.

They are Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-Mo.) and Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), both members of the House Financial Services Committee.

Sherman in February re-introduced a bill that would permit the NCUA to allow healthy and well-managed credit unions to accept supplemental forms of capital.
