The adage, “every cloud has a silver lining,” seems true forDanelle Loyd, a member of the $808 million Credit Union ONE in Ferndale, Mich.

Loyd's bicycle was stolen earlier this month outside a localbranch, but she recently received a new bike from a good samaritanwho is a vendor with the 106,000-member suburban Detroit creditunion.

Credit Union ONE vendor Mike Lammers with the Airea Company, anoffice furniture supplier in Farmington Hills, Mich., donated thenew bicycle because he happened to be in the branch when Loydreported the crime and saw that the young woman was upset aboutlosing her bike, said Credit Union ONE.
