The $574 million Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif., recently celebrated the grand re-opening of its Covina branch.

That facility had served as the credit union's corporate headquarters 40 years ago when it moved from California Baptist Seminary,

The Covina makeover included a new landscape design and interior remodeling and was executed by Tom Matlock of Matlock Associates, a longtime credit union member who served as general contractor and architect and has worked on four major building renovations in 30 years at the Covina and San Dimas locations.

“We are at another historical moment in our credit union where we are dedicating this beautifully remodeled branch. The Covina branch was designed with our members and staff in mind and with state-of-the-art technology that will make services convenient to our members,” John Walling, president/CEO of Christian Community Credit Union, said at the June 10 ceremony.

Christian Community Credit Union has been an icon in the city and we are privileged to have the credit union in Covina,” added Covina Mayor Walter Allen III.

Christian Community CU said it now serves more than 29,500 members nationwide and has served as a financial partner of Christian churches, ministries and their members for over 56 years.
