The $570 million, 29,400-member Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif., gave the young men of Tiger Cub Scout Pack 423 an inside look at a credit union's operations.

Highlights of the visit – part of the pack's Making Change and Banking “Go See It” –included a look inside the vault and watching a telle ruse a cash machine and ATM.

Lessons included a talk about banking and the importance of saving money, including how long it takes to save for an MP3 player, X-Box or even a car.

“I had fun interacting with the Cub Scouts. It was encouraging to see their enthusiasm in learning more about banking and saving money,” said Charlotte Conway, Christian Community CU's vice president of operations.
