To show its support of small businesses, Navy Federal CreditUnion said it will give away $20 loyalty cards for users topatronize local shops in a Norfolk, Va., neighborhood.

The small business cash mob will take place Saturday within the Ghent community,according to the $54 billion credit union in Vienna, Va.

The first 100 participants to arrive at the parking lot outsidethe Mermaid Winery will receive a free t-shirt and a $20 NavyFederal Loyalty Card to spend during the cash mob.

Participants are encouraged to return with their receipts toMermaid Winery's parking lot after shopping for a chance to windrawing prizes, Navy Federal said. Refreshments, excluding alcohol, from theMermaid Winery will be served. The event will be held rain orshine, and is open to all Navy Federal members and the generalpublic, the credit union said.

In recognition of National Small Business Week, which kicks offJune 17, Navy Federal Business Services said it aims to show itssupport for local small businesses within the communities itserves.

The cash mob also highlights and celebrates the Ghent shoppingdistrict and the positive, economic impact it has in the Norfolkcommunity, the credit union said.
