Fine Work by Fit Bottom Mamas
Inspired by a teller who wanted to do something after cancer took her grandfather, the “Fit Bottom Mamas” of the Yucaipa, Calif., branch of Arrowhead Credit Union raised $2,550 this year in the recent Yucaipa Relay for Life. The gang of five set a goal of $1,000 and more than doubled that by selling hand-made scarves, blankets, baked goods and other items to each other and then it went viral across the $755 million credit union.
“Everyone on our team had their lives touched by cancer in some way, so this was a very personal mission for us. It was amazing how our colleagues across Arrowhead got behind our effort,” said teller Crystal Meyers. “Through their incredible support, we more than doubled our goal and had a lot of fun along the way!”
