The $403 million Diamond Credit Union in Pottstown, Pa., said it has broken ground for its fifth branch. The new location will be in the Douglass Town Center in Boyertown, Pa.

The 4,100-square-foot, nine-employee branch is expected to open next May and will include a remote teller system, three drive-through lanes, a drive-up ATM, an inside kiosk for members to use online banking, two lending booths and children's play area.

The new facility will join Diamond's main office in Pottstown and three other offices in the Reading area and will employ nine people, the 44,500-member credit union said.

"We are looking forward to becoming a part of the Boyertown Community. We've already received a lot of feedback from people in the area who are just as excited as we are about the new branch," said John Faust, Diamond CU president/CEO.
