The $402 million, 48,000-member Fort Bragg Federal Credit Unionin Fayetteville, N.C., recently presented a $3,000 to the SupportMilitary Spouses program, which collects and distributes shoeboxgifts to military spouses.

About 1,200 of the gifts were delivered, along with thedonation, at a special event at a local theater in recognition ofMilitary Spouse Appreciation Day. Fort Bragg is home to the U.S.Army's Special Operations Command and the 82nd AirborneDivision.

“The idea of building shoeboxes to give to the unsung heroes ofthe military is a great idea. To be able to provide a spouse amoment of happiness through a gift acknowledging their sacrificesmeans so much,” said David Elliott, Fort Bragg FCUPresident/CEO.
