The $1.4 billion Indiana Members Credit Union plans to convert to the Symitar Episys core processing platform, the company and credit union said.
The 110,000-member Indianapolis credit union said it will run the platform in-house and cited its openness and Symitar's conversion process and research and development in its decision to convert.
“We have a commitment to provide members with consistent, superior service. They should not be bothered by the fact that we are changing core processors and Symitar understands that,” said IMCU CEO Ron Collier.
IMCU currently runs on a Fiserv CUBE platform, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
Symitar, a division of Jack Henry & Associates of Monett, Mo., said it now serves more than 750 credit unions and claims more than 35% of the market for billion-dollar institutions.
