The $925 million US Federal Credit Union in Burnsville, Minn., said its employees volunteered 275 hours of their time to process 154 tax returns as part of the VITA effort this year.
The 69,400-member USFCU partnered with AccountAbility Minnesota for the 10th straight year on the effort, which garnered $270,607 in refunds for the income-qualified taxpayers, the credit union said.
“The use of this service has grown steadily over the past few years and we are happy that we are able to help our communities in this way,” said Bill Raker, USFCU president/CEO.
