Welch ATM, an independent ATM deployer based in Peoria, Ill., has purchased credit union-focused technology firm Code Green of Gaithersburg, Md.

Welch says it deploys and manages 20,000 ATMs in partnership with financial institutions and large retailers.

Code Green's innovations include BranchMap Mobile Edition, which supplies branch and ATM information in a mobile-compatible format and Credit Union Mobile, a mobile app for credit union members and marketers.

Other products include Loan Saver, an online loan lead generation tool for use at home, in the branch and in conjunction with various marketing channels and the Web Hunt, a  marketing system and interactive online scavenger hunt.

“Welch ATM strives to provide products and services that can successfully expand and magnify financial institution success,” said Adam Hobelmann, vice president of sales and business development at Welch ATM.

“Code Green brings a variety of new opportunities to the table that can broaden our customer service offerings both through the ATM and beyond,” Hobelmann said.

Code Green Founder Jason Green said his 200-client operation will remain focused on local financial institutions, including credit unions.

“Code Green will continue to develop powerful marketing technology solutions tailored to specific needs of credit unions and community banks. We will continue to offer all of our current products such as BranchMap and Loan Saver,” said Green, now president of Welch ATM's Code Green Division.

“In addition, we will now have more resources, enabling us to focus on new product development and other new offerings that enhance ATMs and evolve them into interactive branding, marketing and communications platforms,” Green said.
