Do-it-yourself IT security tools will be just one of the featured topics at the annual Credit Union Information Security Professionals Conference set for Feb. 6-7 in Austin, Texas.

David Naylor, IT security administrator at the $753 million Texas Trust Credit Union in Mansfield, will discuss the use of free scripts and open source solutions his credit union uses for monitoring its networks and other internal security purposes.

Naylor is a Baylor University graduate and CISP who has been responsible for network at the 55,000-member Texas Trust for eight years.

The conference agenda also includes NCUA and industry speakers on topics such as mobile payment risk, managing password privileges and database security.

The eighth-annual NCUA Examiners Roundtable with six agency staffers discussing on compliance and review also will be a highlight.
