Credit unions in Washington and Oregon are announcing their move into mobile.
They are the $483 million Solarity CU in Yakima, Wash., and $59 million Valley Credit Union in Salem, Ore.
Solarity, formed by the January 2012 merger of Yakima Valley and Catholic credit unions, said it is offering its 49,300 members the mobile banking triple play: a mobile website, downloadable app for BlackBerry, Android and iPhones and text banking.
Valley CU is offering mobile banking apps to users of Apple and Android devices among its 4,400 members.
“Our members are more connected than ever, and our mobile banking app will ensure they have access to their funds and more when it's convenient and necessary,” said Valley CU President/CEO Jean Wheat-Palm.
