Winthrop Federal, a division of the $642 million Webster First Federal Credit Union is sponsoring a Giving Tree to benefit the Salesian Boys and Girls Club of East Boston. The Winthrop, Mass., branch is inviting members, friends and local residents to stop by to pick up an ornament which contains the name of the gift a child or young teenager wishes to receive this holiday season. And then, of course, to return the gift by Dec. 19 so it can get to the deserving youngster.
