The NCUA isn't ruling out the possibility it may cancel boardmeetings next year, as it did in 2012 in the months of February, April and June.

NCUA Public Affairs Specialist John Fairbanks said theRegulatory Relief Initiative remains ongoing – as part of itsregulatory relief effort, the NCUA this year wrote newregulations to lessen the burden on credit unions, and slowed thepace of proposed and finalized regs. The initiative resulted in thecanceled meetings.

“We publish this schedule so people can get these meetings ontheir calendars,” Fairbanks said. “They are subject to changeor cancelation as may be desirable or necessary.”
