Five more small credit unions have committed to the cloud-basedOASys core processing system from CUtopia, according to thedivision of Worldwide Interactive Services LLC in Orlando, Fla.

They are the $1.5 million, 235-member Gary Police DepartmentEmployees FCU in Gary, Ind.; the $748,000, 220-member Murphy CU inMinneapolis; the $3.4 million, 490-member Dixie Craft Employees CUin Goodwater, Ala.; the $758,000, 175-member CC Van Wert CU in VanWert, Ohio; and the $1.3 million, 274-member Concora Wabash FCU inWabash, Ind.

“It provides us with all the tools to run our creditunion just like the larger institutions with the security andpeace of mind of being fully hosted. The pricing made itvery affordable for our small credit union,” said BarbaraNihart, manager of Murphy CU.

The Gary credit union currently is a Fiserv DataSafeuser, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan &Associates, while the other four all are using core systems fromHarland Financial Services.

CUTopia now has about 45 customers eitherlive or signed to its processing platform, which it beganoffering in 2010 after buying the former CUMAS operation out of Texasand modifying that platform.
