TEG Federal Credit Union, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., has named Thomas I. Gay as its new chief financial officer. Gay replaces Ronald A. Flaherty, who was promoted to president/CEO in January. Gay has more than 21 years of experience in finance and accounting and has been with TEG since 1991, most recently serving as the controller. Prior to that, he served as an accountant. In his new position, Gay will be responsible for directing and administering the organization's overall financial plans, business policies and accounting practices. Gay holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I.

Ent Federal Credit Union, Colorado Springs, Colo., has promoted Tony Sloan to real estate production manager. Sloan has been with the credit union for more than four years and most recently served as a mortgage loan officer. Sloan brings nearly 25 years of sales management and service knowledge, as well as 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Ent, Sloan served as a broker and owner of Spartan Mortgage LLC. He has trained and managed mortgage loan officers throughout his career.

STCU, Spokane, Wash., recently announced three staff changes. Russell Palmer joined STCU as card services manager. Palmer most recently served as customer service/telecommunications manager for the card/merchant processing division of Bank of America in Spokane. He is working toward a degree in finance from Washington State University. Tracy Malley is the new branch manager at the Spokane Valley Branch. Malley has been an STCU employee for 14 years, most recently as South Branch manager. Brandy Schloss is the new branch manager of the South Branch. She began her STCU career as a loan officer 10 years ago and was most recently branch manager at STCU's Northtown Square Branch. 

MIDWEST

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa, announced that Kim Fettkether, Karris Golden, Eric Kinman and Michele Starkenburg will be the first participants in Veridian's executive development program. Fettkether was most recently the assistant to the president. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in journalism and communication studies and has been with Veridian for more than 10 years. Golden was most recently president/COO of Wasendorf & Associates Inc. She has a master's degree in English from the University of Northern Iowa and a bachelor's degree in communication arts from Wartburg College. Kinman most recently served as the manager of marketing. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's degree in English and has been with Veridian for more than 11 years. Starkenburg was most recently the supervisor at Veridian's Ankeny Main branch. She graduated from Briar Cliff College with a bachelor's degree in business and has been with Veridian for more than six years. 

SOUTH

Commonwealth Credit Union, Frankfort, Ky., recently announced the promotion of Karen Maxfield to vice president of human resources. Maxfield has been with the credit union since 1994 and has served as human resource director since 2003.  She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and earned a Certified Senior Professional of Human Resources in 2008. Maxfield is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor of science in psychology.

DuPont Community Credit Union, Waynesboro, Va., recently announced two management promotions. Eugene Rankin was promoted to credit manager, and Kimberly McClamroch was promoted to mortgage loan manager. The credit union also named Steve Hildebrand as the new vice president of marketing. Rankin has 20 years of banking experience and has spent 19 months with DCCU. He most recently held the position of commercial loan underwriter. Rankin graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics. He is also a graduate of the Credit Union Executive Society School of Business Lending. McClamroch has 29 years of mortgage lending experience and has spent eight months with DCCU. She most recently held the position of mortgage operations specialist. She holds the Federal Housing Administration Direct Endorsement Underwriter designation and has completed extensive training through the Federal Reserve Bank. Hildebrand has six years of credit union experience and 12 years of marketing experience. He most recently held the position of marketing director with Maine Family Federal Credit Union in Lewiston, Maine. He graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor of arts in nonverbal and interpersonal communication studies. Hildebrand is also scheduled to receive a MBA in accounting in 2013 and an MBA in quantitative analysis in 2014 from Southern New Hampshire University. He has been involved in the Statewide Awareness Committee and Financial Literary Council with the Maine Credit Union League and with the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council.  

SACU, San Antonio, announced that James Peters, BSA compliance officer/loss prevention adviser of SACU's Risk Advisory Services Division, was inducted into the Credit Professionals International Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the CPI annual conference this year. Peters, a member of SACU since 1977, was recognized for his outstanding support of CPI.  Peters received the Alamo CPI's Boss of the Year award in 2003 and 2011. As a Hall of Fame member, Peters has demonstrated continuous support for the organization. He is credited for encouraging his employees to be involved in a professional society, giving them the paid time necessary to become active members.

Business Lending Group LLC, Oshkosh, Wis., in partnership with CitizensFirst Credit Union, announced that it has hired John Hill to the position of vice president of commercial lending.
